POW!! Four Celestial Events in a Row; The Summer Solstice and 3 Eclipses

We will be experiencing four major celestial events in a row very soon.  The Summer Solstice occurs on June 21st this year followed by three eclipses.  The first Full Moon eclipse will be on July 7th, the Total Solar Eclipse on July 21st- 22nd, and another Full Moon eclipse on August 5th.

We are now within the time range when these events are active, so make a note on your calendars and prepare for them.

Summer Solstice 2009

I have drawn up the commencement of Sun into Cancer for Washington DC at 1;47 AM EDT on June 21, 2009.  The power of the individual is upon us and each of us needs to claim our power and do what our hearts deem is right.  This chart pits the individual against the powers of the state, or more accurately the powers of the state that remain hidden from view.  I’m talking about Pluto, for Plutocracy is simply ruler-ship by the wealthy elite.  The positive aspect of Pluto, however, represents an enormous thrust to expose that which is hidden and shed light on all the shadowy sides of control and manipulation whether they are collective or personal.

In your own life these elements will show up wherever 0 degrees of Cancer and its opposite Capricorn axis are located.  How must you now deal with issues of power and helplessness?  Where is the shadow element to be faced within yourself or in others?  What light can you shed on both inner and outer unconsciousness so that manipulation and control issues can shrink in their potency?  Remember, the mythical Hercules could not kill the Hydra who threatened everyone.  He had to kneel and hold it up to the light.  Once exposed, the heads began to shrink and the Hydra was rendered impotent to do more harm.

Uranus, bearer of light and revolutionary change, is in hard angle squares to both the Sun and Pluto.  Themes of freedom, breaking free of restraints, opening the gates of long-held secrets and revealing the truth, rebellions against repression and suppression of all kinds are at the gates now.  This energy will only increase in intensity now through 2015.

Uranus is still immersed in the unconscious collective waters of Pisces and hasn’t yet gained enough momentum to pry enough people out of their lethargy to really act.  That time is coming when Uranus enters Aries and the grand slam ‘Cardinal Climax’ (Raymond Merriman coined this term back in 1999) goes into high gear.  But the feeling that ‘somethings got to give’ is really revving up now.

From now on every single Equinox and Solstice will repeat this Cardinal theme.  Big changes globally are upon us all.  There is no longer time to dawdle or wait around.  Each of us must do our part to help to create a better world where every living thing is honored and held sacred.  Either life is precious and everyone has right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, or only certain people have the right to decree what lives and what dies.  The turning point is now here and the polarity is beginning to be seen for the extreme that it is.

The skyburst from Aquarius gives a ray of hope like never before.  If new dreams are to emerge, now is also the time for that.  This clustering of Neptune, Chiron, and Jupiter won’t last much beyond the rest of this year, so we really do need to take advantage of this healing, generous-spirited energy which is trining the Sun in the Solstice chart.  Look at some of my past articles for how you can work with this energy burst.  Intentions for the future are a key ingredient.  Setting clear strong goals which include the common good are so important now.  Each and everyone of us can do our part.

Capricorn Lunar Eclipse of July 7th, 2009

This full moon eclipse occurs at 5:22 AM EDT and will factor in to the strong changes now upon the United States of America.

All three eclipses are based on a particular Saros Cycle that emphasizes the need to release old failed systems that are no longer useful or viable.  They simply don’t work anymore.  The days of ‘backroom deals amongst cronies’ needs to heed a death knell here.  New solutions and inventive ways of dealing with the problems facing the world and each of us individually must now be utilized.  Common consensus should be part of these solutions with all cards on the table and full disclosures revealed.  Secretive agendas will implode eventually, though more violence and tragedy is likely as the old refuses to yield to the new.

This particular eclipse is about being and getting physical.  When tensions build it is important to discharge by being active and revitalizing through outdoor activities.  Perfect.  This is the time of year for that in the Northern Hemisphere.  Being physical is balanced by concentration and a ‘Mandala-like’ consciousness, however.  Yoga, tantra,tai chi, martial arts, or any physical activity which aligns and integrates mind-heart-body is the best.  Being fully engaged seems to be another meaning of this eclipse.

Total Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 21st

This is the most important of the eclipses coming arriving at 10:35 PM EDT.  It occurs opposite the United States Pluto and within orb of a conjunction to its Mercury.  It is also impacting the chart of the Federal Reserve, a privately owned and operated banking system.  The powers behind the visible are being pressured to change drastically soon.  With Mercury involved communications and commerce, trade and all the infrastructures of how things are moved about will be impacted.

The Sabian symbol for the degree of this eclipse is quite telling:  “A daughter of the American Revolution’.  This is a degree that addresses the old constraints of power for the elite that must go.  America’s shadow is her invisible government.  Solar eclipses are always about the past which must be dealt with first before anything new can emerge.  So the Plutocracy must be dealt with in this land before the new revolutionary spirit can emerge with a renewed vigor ‘for the people and by the people’.

Where does that 29th + degree of Cancer fall in your chart?  What shadowy elements must you clear in order to be a renewed and invigorated individual?  That is the task for each of us for the next 6-12 months.  To be whole and conscious requires exposing the unconscious agendas that control and manipulate.

August 5th Lunar Eclipse

This final eclipse continues the trend of innovation and change with an emphasis on persevering and keeping your intentions strong.  I’ll feature it more fully as its time draws near.

Remember, if you work with these celestial energies they will enhance and support all of your intentions to grow, learn, and increase your levels of consciousness.  They are the star mirrors ‘As above, so below’ that give added meaning and depth to the cycles and processes we continually go through in life.
